Artworks From UMAF The Pop-Up Gallery Show, Utica Radisson Hotel, September 14 2012

Wendy Butcher's event-defining painting. I want a print!!!

While it's tempting to dismiss the stature of the event due to the alternative nature of the venue -- a hotel conference room -- and the presentation method -- the work sitting on easels -- the show did suggest some interesting ideas. It was quite suitable for the temporary nature of the installation and was simple enough to put up to be a model for future short term "pop up" exhibition proposals.

Timothy Rand, painting Owen Wilson in his 3d derivation on the Chuck Close method.
This piece deservedly received more attention than anything else in the show!

Superb opportunity to show with some of the finest artists I've encountered since relocating to the Syracuse area in 2002. Let's do it again real real soon!
