AltereD EnvironmentS: Laura J. Wellner & Wilson Cummer, Szozda Gallery 501 W.Fayette St, Syracuse NY October 12 2012

Driving past the good old Niagra Mohawk building, which our aesthetics lecturer Larry F. Bakke sent me and my roommates down to see in person one day. Been in love with it ever since.

Heyyyyy ... where have I seen that before ....

;D

Wilson Cummer -- Keeping a new Szozda Gallery tradition alive with Tonka toy art! Last month it was painter Phil Parsons' yellow tractor, this month it's Wilson Cummer's backhoe. And totally by coincidence both pieces were hung in the exact same spot. Guess who noticed.

;D

Stupendous picture with Syracuse artist Steve Nyland posing at Szozda Gallery with writer Nate Wellner, painter Laura J. Wellner, the hatted painter Fred Welner, and photographer Wilson Cummer.

With my dear friend Angela, looking simply fantastic for a night at the theatre after the reception.

Comparing shoes with curator Caroline Szozda-McGowan.

Painter Laura J. Wellner's knockout green shoes -- The 3rd green shoed woman to appear at a Szozda Gallery reception since I started taking notes on such matters back in May.

Painter Nate West with sister Kate and father Dick West, himself an accomplished artist with a background in printmaking.

The busy table with Broad Street Gallery/Hamilton Center for the Arts info left by yours truly.

Artists Laura J. Wellner and Fred Wellner joined by the always dapper Phil Parsons, an artist who's work was on display here last month, check my prior posts to have a look!

On the way out the door with Nate Wellner at the intern position, a gentleman I was unfortunately not introduced to, curator/artist Caroline Szozda-McGowan and curator/artist Linda Bigness, whom I want to show my new landscape work to for ideas.

Off to paint murals on Marshall St. with Nate's girlfriend Angela and their gorgeous daughter Sophie, who no art function is now complete without.
