Rob Petrie: Correspondences @ BC Restaurant, 247 W. Fayette St. Syracuse NY April 17 2014

BC Restaurant
247 West Fayette St.
Syracuse NY 13202

One of my Syracuse gigs this year is serving as an Artist in Residence at BC, which includes serving as a liason between the restaurant and the artists whom are invited show their work every month in BC's back event room as a gallery exhibition. This month our featured artist was Rob Petrie, a born sketch artist and architect who teaches drawing to architecture students at Syracuse University.

One of the focuses of the exhibition were what he calls "Correspondences", literally postcard-sized pen drawings done in coffee shops around the world that he would exchange through the mail with his spouse while on the go for his architecture work.

SCORE!

Packed! Great turnout from Rob's fellow Syracuse faculty & students, his family and posse of friends, and the regular "T3 Mob" art crowd that turns Syracuse into a citywide art event the third Thursday of every month.

With Syracuse area artist/musician Christophe Ennis, whose work will be featured at BC in the fall of 2015. We're booked through the end of next year!

With artist/educator Angela Arrey-Wastavino, one of my staunchest supporters over the past few years and a welcome regular face at these receptions.

With BC's culinary maestro and total dude, Gregg Marsh.
If I could paint like he can cook we'd be talking.

Yo! Best shot of the night, with the artist.
Looking forward to doing some more work with this gentleman soon.
