Below be a virtual stream of consciousness Mind-Meld of the show using a minute from the event & the images seen below. My apologies to any artists whose work I missed: Place was packed! and that ruled. My first art event since October, delighted to have been able to be present.
Be sure to watch, that's a good one. Runs four minutes.
Carol Prusa, and yes I did in fact come all the way from Syracuse to make sure this thing was as awesome in person as it looked online. Reminded me of the surface designs from ALIEN (1979) crossed with Aubrey Beardley caligraphic drawings. Seriously.
VERDICT: It looked even better in person. Show runs through June 21st.
GO.

I believe it is (or based on) a garment? possibly intended to be worn.
Jan Dickey.
My mind read them as sculptural forms which just happen to be flat.

The term Sky Saw came to mind. A saw with which one cuts the sky.

Genna Howard

iFone apologizes to the Artist & Curator for the odd angles here and on other pix: Both works are perfectly rectangular and the show hung with exceptional care.
Emma Roche, and yes it's Senor Beavis.
That's pretty cool, heheh. And I'm outta here.
Next Open Studios session for the AIR program 5pm-7pm on Thursday May 16th!
On the way home & finally found the nerve to stop and get a picture of my favorite Madison County barn. Just outside of Earlville on Rt.62 by the Chenango River crossing.
That blue rectangle just under the 62. Next time there's folks outside I'll stop and ask some questions. And beg that they never re-paint it.
That's a study in red. Syracuse area painter Phil Parsons comes to mind:
Is that the same barn he paints? or one of them?
